Hooray, no jury duty today! I am so lucky!
And at the rink, I saw both my beloved coach Laurie and my good friend Michele. While I was away, Michele passed her Novice Moves in the Field test, which is chock full of challenging sequences including counters, rockers, choctaws, twizzles, and loops. What a great accomplishment–congrats, Michele!
Does this deserve pictures of Michele, proud coach Laurie, the Olympic rings, and a special appearance by the Queen’s Rowbarge? Yes, it does!
Michele’s concentration, dedication, and thoughtful practice for this test has really inspired me. It’s clear that she has what it takes to progress on the hard stuff–even if it means extra practice and skating advice in the parking lot!
